Fighting for Our Students, Our Teachers, Our Future

Our Schools Face Unprecedented Challenges.

I believe that within every challenge lies an opportunity, and I’m ready to get to work to address the challenges Jeffco Schools are currently facing: funding cuts, budget shortfalls, and chronic teacher shortages.

With smart, strategic leadership focused on transparency and accountability, we can get our schools back on track, streamline operations, and manage budgets wisely to maximize the dollars that go directly into our classrooms – where they are needed most.

This means:

  • Investing in teachers by raising pay, addressing shortages, and ensuring every classroom has a high-quality educator.

  • Getting politics out of schools by ending agenda-driven censorship, putting culture wars behind us, and letting teachers do their jobs without interference.

  • Restoring trust and transparency by listening to our community, handling taxpayer dollars responsibly, and making the school board more accountable and nonpartisan.

We must invest in our students and teachers for a better tomorrow, and to build a future where every Jeffco child has the opportunities to thrive.

About Peter

I’m running because I believe our schools — and our communities — are in a moment of crisis, but every crisis presents an opportunity for people to get involved and emerge stronger than before. Although budget cuts threaten to increase inequality, they also give us a chance to refocus on what matters most: the students; teachers and staff working in classrooms, and ensuring that our system serves all of us, not just a privileged few. My campaign is grounded in transparency, accountability, and the belief that quality, public education is the cornerstone of a just society.

When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, staying active in the gym or on my bike, and spending time with my son. I believe in staying curious, staying grounded, and never losing sight of the people we’re here to serve.
